Dining Table, 2011
Manipulated photography (film still), mixed media
52 x 60 cm
One in a series of images. The piece has stemmed from a new video work, using objects of personal reference as props in which characters interacted.
This still from a dining table scene is no longer just a dining table. It has since broken due to two males both weighing 14 stone passionately embracing one another, whilst dressed as women, on it.
Both had altered states and both were ephemeral. The photograph serves as an archive for a moment of public privacy, unable to be re-enacted.
